How It Works

Complete one, two or all three activities before Badge Summit.

Each activity gives you something practical to create, claim or explore. When you arrive at Badge Summit, show what you completed and collect your matching sticker.

Complete all three activities and you’ll also receive the bonus Petting Zoo Explorer sticker.

There is no formal verification process. Just bring evidence of what you completed, such as your badge, skills claim or screenshot.

Activity 1: Badge Explorer

Earn a Digital Credentials Fundamentals Badge

Start with the basics. Complete the Digital Credentials Fundamentals activity and earn a badge that introduces key ideas in digital credentials, badges and recognition.

You’ll explore why digital credentials matter, how they can support trust and mobility, and what role they play in the future of learning and work.

What you’ll do: Complete a short learning activity and earn a badge.

Activity 3: Opportunity Explorer

Connect Skills to Job Opportunities

Earn the Skills to Job Explorer badge, then open the badge and explore the skills attached to it. Use the skills-to-jobs feature to discover live job opportunities connected to those skills.

Find a job that interests you, take a screenshot, and bring it to Badge Summit.

What you’ll do: Claim a badge, explore skills insights and find a job opportunity.

Activity 2: Skills Explorer

Create a Verifiable Skill Claim

Use LinkedCreds to create a simple skill claim based on something you have done in work, study, volunteering, community life or everyday experience.

This activity helps you explore how skills can be documented, evidenced and shared beyond formal qualifications or job titles.

What you’ll do: Create and publish a verifiable skill claim.

Sticker reward: Skills Explorer

Collect the Stickers

Each completed activity earns you a sticker:

• Badge Explorer: I earned a badge.

• Skills Explorer: I claimed a skill.

• Opportunity Explorer: I found a future opportunity.

Complete all three activities and collect the bonus:

• Petting Zoo Explorer: I packed my badges.

The stickers are designed to be fun, visible conversation starters. Wear them proudly and use them to spark conversations about what you explored, what surprised you and what you want to learn next.

Share Your Progress

Share your badge, skill claim, screenshot or reflections on LinkedIn and use #badgesandpit so others can follow your journey.

You might post:

“I’m packing my badges for Badge Summit 2026. I just completed the [activity name] activity in the Badge Sandpit. #badgesandpit”

Claiming your stickers at Badge Summit

When you arrive at Badge Summit, visit the registration desk or Petting Zoo area and show what you completed.

You might show:

• your Digital Credentials Fundamentals badge

• your LinkedCreds skill claim

• your Skills to Job Explorer badge

• your screenshot of a job opportunity

• your shared post or activity evidence

Complete one activity and you’ll still receive a sticker. Complete all three and you’ll receive the full collection plus the bonus Petting Zoo Explorer sticker.
